Needles and Thread Ltd commenced operations as a producer of exclusive garments for ladies and men. The focus of the company evolved over time as the company widened its scope to include the production and sale of millinery products/raw materials, Ladies’ head-ties, Traditional/Contemporary Aso-oke outfits, customized embroidered fabrics and fashion accessories such as customized hand-fans, ladies’ hats & hairpieces, etc.

Needles & Thread launched a unique product which it aptly branded "SINGELE", with “NT SINGELE" being its corporate acronym. NT Singele is a net head-tie made from high quality processed natural fibre and comes in exciting designs and glittering colours. The fabric is light, transparent, very easy to manipulate and feels very comfortable when worn. The net-like nature of the fabric also allows for better airflow to the head; further making it quite comfortable. NT Singele is produced in 5 different variations in terms of fabric and packaging with each variation targeted at women on different economic strata.

Needles and Thread also launched its own brand of Aso-Oke aply branded “LACE ASO-OKE”. Lace Aso-Oke is a fabric specifically woven with comfort and style in mind. It features beautiful lace and floral designs that are lusciously embroidered and exquisitely accessorised using a choice of glittering sequins or stones, unique beads and high quality cords. These features are relatively new to the traditional Aso-Oke fabric and give Lace Aso-Oke the rich contemporary luscious look and texture that appeal to women and men of substance who wish distinguish themselves from the crowd. Lace Aso-oke, has since become the hottest choice for a lot stylish women and men when shopping for Aso-oke head-ties/sash as well as Aso-oke traditional full outfits.

Needles and Thread Limited also produces customized lace fabrics as well as embroidered single and double-wrapper fabrics for its budding clientele, who desire exclusive customized designs that are not available in the open market. This is a niche area that the company takes pride in, as it avails its customers the luxury of getting exact fabric designs and colours they desire instead of settling for whatever is available in the market.

Needles and Thread is owned substantially by Mr. Martins Williams-Igwonobe who is the Chairman/CEO and Mrs. Victoria Williams-Igwonobe, the Managing Director/COO.

Mr. Martins Williams-Igwonobe is a Chartered Banker who had over 15 years experience in the banking industry before leaving to devote his time to the management of Needles and Thread and their other business concerns. He has an MBA (Marketing) and is also an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School.

Mrs. Victoria Williams-Igwonobe, is a 1996 graduate of International Relations, Obafemi Awolowo University, and has attended various Millinery and Business Management courses both locally and abroad.

The Chairman and the Managing Director both oversee the day-to-day management of the company assisted by a dynamic management team.
